Meet Andrea Schumacher
I reside in the beautiful region known as the Scenic Rim, home to my family for nearly forty years and to my husband’s family for generations. After recently retiring from the teaching profession, I now dedicate my time fully to supporting couples through one of life’s most meaningful moments.
My path to becoming a celebrant began long before I was registered. For many years I sang at weddings across the region, and I always found myself drawn to the emotion and joy of the ceremony itself. Over time, I realised what I loved most was helping people feel seen, supported and celebrated — and becoming a celebrant felt like a natural progression from there.
One of my greatest joys is marrying former students. It reflects how closely connected I am to this community, and how special it is to walk with people through different stages of their lives.

My background in teaching means patience, guidance and steady organisation come naturally to me. I’m used to supporting people through important moments and helping them feel at ease. On your wedding day, I arrive early, coordinate with your vendors, run your rehearsal and make sure every detail flows smoothly so you can simply enjoy the moment.

Having lived in the Scenic Rim for decades, I know the local venues, landscapes and suppliers well. Whether you’re after a quiet country setting, a vineyard backdrop or a beautiful farm location, I’m happy to share recommendations and help you find the right team for your day.
